The gray lady arrived and brought with her hope. She came with troops and she came with a message "Aegis Pass will stand." Gathering intel brought to her from Elrohir and his team, Althea led out a mighty contingent to take on Graza'hat and his minions.
Elrohir, Randthalas, Miran, and Aralias all stayed in Aegis to protect against any unforeseen threats. Little did they know the biggest threat was right under their noses.
Nights went by without much going on. Elrohir and Francesca scooted off to a shed to relieve some tension that had been building between the two for weeks. Francesca didn't know what it was like to be loved and appreciated and Elrohir gave her that.
Ripping through the night suddenly was a scream "SKELETONS!! Coming from the temple!!" Aralias led his troops to engage the beasts. Miran, her brother Pierre, and Randthalas had all engaged in fights against more skeletons.
Francesca ran to protect the Lady Lorien - daughter of Tanis. She nearly paid with her life, but her bravery and the help of Miran and Pierre brought them through it.
Emerging from the town wall was Canon Overbey - yes Canon Overbey. He had duped some townsfolk into getting him his ring of power. He then turned the men onto the militia and heroes. The Canon emerged ready and willing to fight. He will have his revenge on that smug ranger and his friends.
A large bat swooped and almost immediately changed into Graza'hat. Graza'hat knowing his fight was lost agaisnt Althea decided to sneak into Aegis Pass to kill off the Canon for his ineptitude. Now the Canon was his ally against the Heroes of Aegis Pass.
A brief skirmish occured with Ranthalas heroically coming and slaying the great gnoll Graza'hat. Canon ran off, but soon met his demise in the mouth of a dragon.
Elrohir engaged in a minor skirmsih against a small group of skeletons, coming out victorious. The heroes had fought off the last gasp attempt by Canon and Graza'hat to take down Aegis Pass and get their revenge.
Days later the Grey Lady arrived with tales of victory. She was greatful for the heroes efforts and rewarded them accordingly. Althea took her place as regent of Aegis Pass and hired on Aralias to be her militia leader.
Miran was offered to be the Queen's falconeer, which she politely refused. She was also offered her post back as Sheriff of Aegis Pass; another offer she kindly refused. Being out with Elrohir and Randthalas had brought a sense of adventure in her and she liked it. She loved it. So she took the third offer and that was to be assigned as one of the Lord Protector's personal troop of Rangers. She was assigned the southern region and was more than joyous.
Randthalas was visited by his druid leader Ammon and they began discussion on how to rebuild the druid site. Ammon directed Ranthalas to travel to bar Harbor. There are more pieces to what is needed there.
Elrohir asked his druid friends to magic him a sword in which they gladly did. The Vice Lord Protector got a message from his boss - Tanis to make haste to Bar Harbor. He had a mission there. Typical Tanis, no rest for the wicked. Elrohir had also pledged his sword to Randthalas and Ammon due to all of the help that Ranthalas gave him during his times of need. Elrohir and Randthalas have grown to be true friends.
So again the friend's fates were intertwined as Elrohir, Randthalas, and Miran all had a new mission - south to Bar Harbor. Francesca joined them. The friends do not know what lay ahead, but they look forward to the challenges of what they may face.
